Student answer (Band 6.0)
Undeniably, family businesses play an imperative roles in the lives of family members. In this 21st century, it seems that in numerous nations, household members like to work together in their family enterprise. Definitely, I agree with this notion as the merits of this statement will outperform demerits and I will discuss my viewpoints in the upcomong paragraphs.
On the one hand, there are plenty of upsides of this prospectives. First of all, trust and loyalty. To be more precise, family members have more trust with each other and they can run their business smoothly as if they have any doubt then they can communication openly with one another and solve any issue in a good way. As a result, they can succeed their corporation not only for long-period of time but also for future generations. To cite an example, Tata Group is one of India's most successful business. The company shows values of family business, long-term planning along with strong leadership can contribute business success. The second and the most desirable feature is, share profits with each other rather than outsiders. More specifically, in some small enterprise, the family individuals do all their tasks together instead of hiring any additional employees. Thus,it can reduce employement costs and the money earned can support the whole family and their living expenses.
On the other hand, there are a few darksides of this phenomenon. To start with, lack of professional skills. Comprehensively, in some cases family member may lack of professional skills such as communication and time mangement. And, these skills are crucial in every business. And, some family members may be given important position that they are not capable owing to this it will create some issues in their business reputation.
To conclude, although family firms have some darksides, their brightsides can not be overlooked as it promotes trust and strength among family members.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that the advantages of family businesses outweigh the disadvantages, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides with relevant points, including trust, shared profits and reduced staffing costs, as well as the risk of family members lacking professional skills. The Tata Group example also helps illustrate long-term planning and leadership. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others: the point about sharing profits is explained mainly through small enterprises, while the disadvantage of appointing relatives to roles they cannot perform is introduced but not supported with an example or fuller consequences. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or illustration to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, moving from an introduction to advantages, disadvantages and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish the two sides, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “To conclude” make the direction easy to follow. Some linking is mechanical or awkward, however: “First of all” is followed by a fragment, “Trust and loyalty,” and several sentences begin with “And.” The long sentence beginning “To be more precise” also packs several ideas together, making their relationships less clear. Improve progression by connecting each claim directly to its explanation and example, and use pronouns or transitions carefully so references remain clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “trust and loyalty,” “professional skills,” “leadership” and “employment costs,” and the main ideas remain understandable. There is also some effort to use less common expressions, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “imperative roles” does not fit the intended meaning, “succeed their corporation” is unclear, and “darksides” and “brightsides” are not natural forms in this context. Spelling errors such as “upcomong,” “mangement” and “employement” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more elaborate wording, and proofread spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, complex sentences, for example the explanation beginning “as if they have any doubt” and the sentence about family members receiving important positions. Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “family businesses play an imperative roles,” “they can communication openly,” and “family member may lack of professional skills.” There are also sentence fragments, such as “First of all, trust and loyalty,” and punctuation problems where sentences run together. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and verb patterns when editing.
