Student answer (Band 5.5)

Majority of the richest personalities today own big business empires. The wealth and power the enjoy today is result of they presistence, continous hardwork and efforts and generational support of other members of past many decades or even centuries. For instances, Reliance, Alphabet, and Google all these companies didnt make it in a single night, it took them number of years to became where they are today. Two common aspects in these companies are that, they are business and many are family owned which mean the business inhereted to next generations.

In my prespective family businesses have more advantages than disadvantages. One of the biggest advantage I believe for an individual is that, he/she doesn't have to build everything from the scratch, they just need to carry over the legacy.

Being born in the same family you have an advantage of knowing business process well because you grewup watching.

The best example for this sceanior is Reliance industries of India. Their 3rd generation have now taken over the board with new ideas and innovation.

Addtitionally, in family business you start to contribute at a very early stage.

Similarly, someone joining family business always bring new ideas and innovation and a different prespective which may help business grow drastically.

In my own experience, I belong to a business family, we are manufacturing unit of paper. Now since I have joined my family business I expanded my business and brought new items to our portfolio. The reason why I did because as the world is changing we need to change as well. The environmental cost of producing high. Also over the past many years due to technological advancement, class room have now transformed which mean demand for paper made items such as notebooks has drastically decreased and it will tend to decrease more in future. So for survival and sustainiability different generations need to work together.

It is human tendancy that we work more or effortlessly when we have personal stakes.

On the flip side of the coin, there are several distavantages also associated with contibuting to family decision.

owning a business is a game of survival. It takes years to build a business but need only day to get everything destroyed.

Running a business is not everyone cup of tea. taking example of the big brother of reliance industries, even after receiving profitable businesses in inheretence and being once a richest man on the earth now have filled bankcruptchy.

This explains not every business succeed well.

Overall, the final outcome is that, owning a family business have more advantages than disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you believe family businesses have more advantages, and you address both sides of the question. The points about inheriting an established business, learning its processes from an early age, and bringing new ideas are relevant. Your personal example about expanding a paper-manufacturing business also gives the argument useful support. This response meets the lower-band expectations of addressing the task and shows some stronger development through that example. However, some claims are asserted rather than explained: the point that people work harder when they have personal stakes, for instance, needs a clearer link to family businesses. The bankruptcy example is also difficult to follow and would benefit from precise context and explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable introduction, supporting paragraphs, a counterpoint and a conclusion, so the reader can recognise its overall shape. However, progression between ideas is uneven, and some paragraphs contain abrupt shifts. For example, the discussion of your paper business moves from new products to environmental costs and changing classroom technology without clearly showing how each point supports the main claim. Connectors such as “Additionally,” “Similarly,” and “On the flip side of the coin” help signal relationships, but they sometimes feel mechanical or do not establish a precise link. The paragraph about business failure is especially brief and disconnected from the preceding argument. Group related points together, use clearer topic sentences, and make references such as “this” or “they” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “legacy,” “generational support,” “technological advancement,” “portfolio,” and “personal stakes.” These choices show an effort to discuss business and change beyond basic terms. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: examples include “prespective,” “sceanior,” “distavantages,” and “filled bankcruptchy.” Phrases such as “build everything from the scratch” and “not everyone cup of tea” also need more natural forms. Aim for accurate, conventional collocations and proofread spelling carefully; this would make your ideas easier to follow while preserving the range you are attempting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including the explanation of how changing classroom practices affect demand for paper products. This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms recur and can make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “The wealth and power the enjoy today is result of they presistence” has several grammatical problems, while “family businesses have more advantages” is followed by “One of the biggest advantage,” where the singular construction is not controlled. The sentence beginning “The reason why I did because” is also incomplete in its structure. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb and complete clause.
