Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowdays, family business are more convenient. it is believed that a person can earn more profit during business with family. Therefore, i agree with the notion that there are more advantages like carrying family legacy ahead and promote togetherness and few disadvantages as follows.

Running a well established business is considered a huge responsibility. Well, sharing the tasks helps in reducing work load and hence, leads to marginal profit. Secondly, It helps in collaborating more logical and professional ideas with personal opinions. This lead to clossness among family members and make everyone feel equall. For example, a fully edtablished business carried over by his two sons can lead to more positive outcome and helps in creating more strong bond among them.

In contrast, there are some demerits as well. firstly, during family clases it gets difficult to look over the business keeping due respect. Moreover, specific topics leads to different opinions which becomes unhealthy for workplace. However, opportunity to explore more jobs gets shrinked. For example, a family has a business of clothing cannot explore different sector of business if everyone is working in same firm.

To conclude, family Business is a responsibilty which eventually becomes profitable to his next generation. In addition, a healthy relationships are formed and carried over. In contrast, clashes among family members make it difficult to work under one roof. This create tension in work and family which leads to significant loss. Therefore, a good strategy can help to grow a business.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that family businesses have more advantages, and you identify relevant benefits such as sharing responsibilities, passing a business to the next generation, and strengthening family bonds. You also acknowledge disadvantages, including disagreements and fewer opportunities to explore other careers. However, the ideas are only partly developed: the example of two sons taking over a business is general, and the clothing-business example does not fully explain why working together prevents family members from exploring other sectors. The conclusion introduces a “good strategy” without explaining what that means. The response is also three words below the required minimum. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation and a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through your argument, and transitions such as “In contrast” help signal a change in direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the link between sharing tasks and “marginal profit” is not explained, and the sentence about “specific topics” does not clearly show how differing opinions affect the workplace. Some linking words are mechanical or incorrectly capitalised, including “Secondly, It” and “firstly.” Use clearer references and explain the relationship between each claim and its example so the argument flows more naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “responsibility,” “profit,” “family legacy,” “professional ideas,” and “clashes.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main points, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “Nowdays,” “clossness,” “edtablished,” and “responsibilty.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “business keeping” and “opportunity to explore more jobs gets shrinked.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. You could describe “sharing the tasks” as “dividing responsibilities,” and say that career options “may be limited” rather than “gets shrinked.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, using structures such as “which leads to significant loss” and “if everyone is working in same firm.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some points harder to follow. For example, “This lead to clossness … and make everyone feel” has problems with subject–verb agreement, while “specific topics leads to different opinions which becomes unhealthy” contains several agreement errors. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a healthy relationships” and “in same firm.” Capitalisation and punctuation need attention too. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and matching verb, and use articles consistently before singular countable nouns.
