Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary fast-paced world, various sorts of corporate family businesses are successfully run by their own family members. While this perspective has a few potential drawbacks, such as minor commitment of individul member and conflict decision, I firmly assort that the significant benefits of this notion predominantly overshadow any associated negatives because it not only fosters family bonding among them but also enhances a chance of making successful firm.
There are several compelling arguments in favour of compounding family businesses, chief among which is escalated company growths by members of individual family, which ultimately leads to beneficial for their future growth. When each and every member has expertise in one particular field —such as finance, marketing and design— and they work together as team, it ameliorate the chances of business to obtain a greater success. This is because they run their own business; as a result, they provide their 100% efforts to become a business prominent in the world. Over and above this, these family businesses promotes family bonding with each other. In today's competitive world, citizens compete with their own family members. However, if they acquire the businessess as a group, it will definately enhances their personal relationship because they spend most of time together; hence, they have better chances to attain a knowledge regarding each other. For instance, households who began their combine businesses in the past; they left a lasting impression on world by getting enormous success in their businesses.
Despite these potential merits, the substantial demerits of this trend should not be overlooked, particularly regarding conflict decesions on certain matters. When everyone has equal rights on the firm, family members wish everyone follow and respect their decisions, which occatinally becomes a weapon for ultimate conflict. As a consequence, company needs to face a hindrances on their vital decisions. Simultaneously, one family member is not working good enough, all family members have to take over this burdern; therefore, compound businesses need more time to boom.
In Conclusion, Although, family businesses run by own family members have certain drawbacks, I strongly believe that the significant advantages of this notion eventually outweigh the disadvantages; it cultimates family relationship and enhances the chances of sucsessful business. Hence, I deem that this perspective has a highly beneficial trend.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the benefits of family businesses outweigh the drawbacks, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides, giving relevant advantages such as shared expertise, effort, and stronger family relationships, alongside disagreements over decisions and the burden of covering for an underperforming relative. These points answer the question, but they are not equally developed. The example about families that achieved success is general and does not show how the claimed benefits operate; the disadvantages also need a specific illustration or fuller explanation. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each point and support at least one with a concrete example. This would make the argument more fully developed and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. The reader can follow the main progression, and linking expressions such as “Despite these potential merits” help signal the shift in argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or unclear. The advantages paragraph contains several ideas joined by repeated “because,” “as a result,” and “hence,” while “these family businesses” and “this burden” do not always refer to a sharply defined point. The sentence beginning “When everyone has equal rights” also moves quickly from decision-making to company delays. Use fewer formulaic connectors, make references explicit, and organise each paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “expertise,” “family bonding,” “commitment,” and “vital decisions,” and the intended meaning is generally recoverable. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “conflict decision,” “company growths,” “business prominent,” and “compound businesses”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also spelling errors such as “individul,” “definately,” and “sucessful.” Aim for precise, familiar collocations before reaching for more elaborate wording—for example, “disagreements over business decisions” and “business growth.” Proofreading for spelling and choosing natural phrases will improve clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and subordinate clauses such as “When each and every member has expertise…” and “Although family businesses… have certain drawbacks…”. This gives the response some structural variety, and the main argument remains understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “it ameliorate” needs subject–verb agreement, “these family businesses promotes” has a plural subject with a singular verb, and “it will definately enhances” combines incompatible verb forms. The conclusion also has faulty punctuation around “Although.” Review agreement and verb patterns, and check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed main verb. More accurate control of these structures would make your complex sentences easier to follow.
