Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is very common practice in many countries that family members shares common goal and work together in a family business. In my perspective, It is very beneficial for business and family to work on same objective as a team . Therefore , Advantages are far outweigh than disadvantages which i will justify with proper explantation and suitable examples in upcoming paragraphs .
The primary benefit working in a same family business is Use of combination of knowledge of different age group in workplace and make it successful . This is because , Different generation involved in same work senior citizens provide ideas based on their work expereince and younger prople can also provide new creative ideas using Technology . For example, There are numerous family business such as MDH spices , Haldiram food product holding a strong position in market because their next generation take over the business and upgrade the weakness as per market demand .
The Second Possible benefit of joining family work is Strengthen the bonds among generations and minimise generational gap . In recent times , Due to advent of social media and technology teenagers spend most of their in front of screen and never take interest in communication with grandparents . Hence , The gap between both generations is surged . Fortunately , By if the Youngsters will join the same family business they not only take the responsibility earlier but can easily spend most of time to make good relationship with family members .
Moving to disadvantage is Because of the presssure of doing same family work the next generation can not follow their passion and talents . To cite an example , A youngster has a dream of becoming singer and has a talent of good singing can not follow their ambition just because of the pressure of doing family business .
To sum up , Undoubtedly Persuing same family work few drawbacks but the advantages are more amd Worth considering . Various Countries already adapted. this approach around the world .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the advantages of family businesses outweigh the disadvantages, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides with relevant points, including the sharing of knowledge between generations, stronger family relationships, and pressure on young people to abandon their ambitions. The examples of established food businesses and a young person who wants to sing help make the discussion concrete. However, the first two benefits are developed more fully than the disadvantage, which is presented mainly as a brief hypothetical example. Some claims, such as teenagers spending little time communicating with grandparents, would also benefit from clearer links to family businesses. Develop the counterargument and explain more explicitly why the benefits outweigh it to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for two advantages and one disadvantage, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “The primary benefit,” “The Second Possible benefit,” and “Moving to disadvantage” make the direction of the discussion easy to follow. This organisation is effective, though some linking is mechanical and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent. Within paragraphs, the connection between ideas is occasionally unclear—for example, the discussion of social media and the generational gap needs a more direct explanation of how working together addresses that gap. The conclusion is also very brief and does not summarise the main reasons. Use transitions more naturally and build clearer links between each claim, its explanation, and its example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “generational gap,” “market demand,” “creative ideas,” and “follow their passion.” These choices help communicate the main points, and some less common expressions show an effort to be precise. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, as in “combination of knowledge,” “the gap … is surged,” and “advantages are far outweigh.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “explantation,” “expereince,” and “Persuing” are also noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships and checking spelling and forms carefully. More natural phrasing would make your ideas clearer without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “For example” and “To cite an example.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control is limited: agreement errors appear in “family members shares,” and sentence patterns are often faulty, as in “By if the Youngsters will join” and “A youngster … can not follow their ambition.” Articles, plurals, verb forms, and punctuation also need attention. Several sentences contain multiple errors, which can make the reader pause to interpret them. Practise constructing accurate complex sentences, especially conditional forms, and proofread each sentence for subject–verb agreement and complete grammatical structure.
