Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been argued that in many nations, family members prefer to work together in the ongoing family business. Under my perspective, this trend bring with it more pros than cons which I will discuss in the upcoming crumb of my writing.
Considering the brighter side, the biggest advantage of working in family business is the flow of good experience and expertise. Family members work collectively and the new members can take good advice and suggestions from their elders as they already hold years of experience and went through different kinds of situation. For example, if new member is not able to handle any situation or understand any concept, he/she can seek guidance from their expert members and can handle anything smoothly.
To add further credence to my assertion, the second advantage is the pre-setup business. Family members can start working and they don't have to strat from the scratch. It also prevent the need for large investments. Furthermore, family businesses allow more flexibility and indepeence than working under some other company. For example, it gives right to make decisions. Family members can share the profit or loss together.
Considering the darker side, starting a business demands lots of efforts, big investments and lots of great ideas. It can hinder somebody's talent and brain storming. For example, success in life demands hardwork and different kinds of experiences. Some family memebers just start helping in fmaily businesses and prevents themselves from learning something new and experiencing all kinds of struggle.
In the conclusion, I believe working together in family businesses can make it grow more and everyone works with full honesty and dedication. On the other side, some folks are interested in doing something new and are not able to continue because of ongoing family businesses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe family businesses have more advantages, and you discuss both benefits and drawbacks. The points about experienced relatives guiding newer members and an established business avoiding a start from scratch are relevant and supported with examples. However, some ideas are less fully explained. For instance, you mention flexibility, decision-making and sharing profits or losses, but do not show in detail how these benefits compare with the disadvantages. The drawback about family work limiting members’ opportunities is relevant, though its connection to “talent and brainstorming” is not entirely clear. Develop each main point with a specific consequence or example, and make the comparison behind your overall judgement more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. The progression from experience and expertise to an established business is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To add further credence” and “Considering the darker side” help identify shifts. This meets the lower-band expectations securely, with some more flexible linking. However, several transitions feel formulaic, and the conclusion introduces the idea that some people want to do something new without fully connecting it to the disadvantage paragraph. References such as “It” in “It also prevent the need for large investments” could be clearer. Use links that show the relationship between ideas and ensure each paragraph develops a connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-relevant vocabulary, including “expertise,” “guidance,” “flexibility,” “investments” and “dedication,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “flow of good experience and expertise,” but some combinations are unnatural or imprecise. “Upcoming crumb of my writing” does not suit an essay, while “pre-setup business” and “hinder somebody’s talent and brain storming” do not express the intended ideas clearly. Spelling errors such as “strat,” “indepeence,” “memebers” and “fmaily” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; precise, familiar wording is more effective than unusual phrases used inaccurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses with “as” and “if,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some grammatical errors occur, however, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms. For example, “this trend bring” should be “this trend brings,” “It also prevent” should be “It also prevents,” and “if new member” needs an article. In “some family members just start helping … and prevents themselves,” the subject changes from plural to singular, so the verb should agree with “members.” There are also awkward sentence constructions that make relationships between ideas less clear. Review agreement and articles, and proofread each sentence while preserving your attempts at complex structures.
