Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's fast-paced world, family businesses have become significantly widely popular. While some people believe that in many nations, family members work together in their family business it has more beneficial, others argue that there are drawbacks. From my point of view, outweigh the advantages than disadvantages.
One the one hand, there are a plethora of benefits to run family entrepreneurship. To begin with, no need to advertise about the products or items because many local people well-known about their standards and prices. In addition, businessman also do their work productively without stress as he saw the kin business from his childhood. Not only he knows about the how to manage coustmers but also how to sale the goods. For instance, Nita ambani he is a great entrepreneur, he maintains the Reliance company recentlty he handovered to his son Ananth ambani. Therefore, now it is running sucessfully, this is a family businesses come from their parents. This trend not only in India, but in other countries also there.
On the other hand, some people think that, there are a few drawbacks. Firstly, this shift affect to the other people, in other words, who are maintaining their family businesses or company in the particular country they are getting more profit instead of who want to commence innovative products or business they are suffering from family busineess because of citizens are already adpated to the old products. As a result, other new businesses can not defeat family businesses.
In conclusion, in the modern era family businesses get a lot of profits and pride in the world. Although many people think that in many countries, kin members work together in their family business have more advantages than disadvantages, others argue that only drawbacks are more. I believe that, more advantageous than drawbacks. Undeniably, this trend is a positive impact on the whole society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that family businesses have more advantages, and you address both benefits and drawbacks. The points about familiarity with customers and passing a business to the next generation are relevant, with the Reliance example offering some support. However, the position is not consistently expressed: the opening phrase “outweigh the advantages than disadvantages” is unclear, and the conclusion repeats both sides without explaining why the benefits are stronger. The disadvantage about established firms making it harder for new businesses to compete is relevant, but its effect on family members or society needs clearer explanation. Develop each main point with a specific cause, consequence, and example to make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track. The Reliance example moves from the entrepreneur to the company’s succession and then to a general claim without clearly connecting these details to the stated benefit. The disadvantage paragraph also contains a long chain of ideas, making the relationship between established family firms and new businesses unclear. Some linking phrases feel mechanical or do not express the intended relationship precisely. Organise each paragraph around one central point and use clearer references and transitions between its explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “entrepreneurship,” “innovative products,” “drawbacks,” and “productively,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make ideas difficult to interpret. For example, “a plethora of benefits to run family entrepreneurship” is not a natural expression, while “well-known about their standards” and “sale the goods” do not convey the intended meanings precisely. There are also spelling errors such as “coustmers,” “sucessfully,” and “adpated.” Build accuracy by learning common business collocations and checking spelling and word forms; this will make your vocabulary more effective without requiring more complicated words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including the “Not only … but also …” construction and clauses introduced by “because” and “although.” However, the range is limited in practice because many longer sentences are not controlled, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the message. Examples include “One the one hand” (the opening phrase is grammatically incomplete), “it has more beneficial,” and “this shift affect to the other people.” There are also problems with subject–verb agreement, articles, pronouns, and sentence boundaries, as in “Nita ambani he is a great entrepreneur, he maintains…” Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms and agreement before combining ideas.
