Student answer (Band 6.0)
Across the globe, many families prefer working in their family businesses. This allows them to learn and work easily and in a productive way. I believe that family business has more advantages, as they can enjoy working and can get stick with their roots and family backgrounds.
The major benefit is that if people choose family profession as a career option, it can give them more time to learn with less pressure on the mind which people often get while working with other companies. They do not need to prove additional loyality and dedication as they know from day one if they keep passionate and dedicated, eventually will generate profit for their own business. For example, many teenagers find it interesting helping their family in leisure time which motivates them and also they get rewards and flexibility to put efforts towards work.
Furthermore, businesses can grow rapidly and can save labour cost as well. In family profession they do not need to find new employees, benefit packages which attract new workers, and often need to spend extra cost for accomodation and transportation. Instead family business get benefits because of trust and transparency between family members in the workplace. Additionally, individuals tend to put more efforts when they see their name and company's growth become widely popular, so when a group of family members work together they build strong personal and professional relationships which incrase mutual understanding between them.
To conclude, family business has many considerable advantages which allow family members to grow together and achieve the desired growth. They can reduce excessive labour costs and vocational expenses which costs alot, and with family partners they can adjust expenses as per needed. Moreover, in the family hey can understand each other better and can easily overcome any troubles.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe family businesses offer more advantages, and the conclusion reinforces this view. You give relevant reasons, including lower labour costs, flexibility, trust, and opportunities for younger family members to learn. The examples about teenagers helping in their free time and avoiding recruitment expenses help address the question. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that family businesses “can grow rapidly” is not supported with a specific explanation, and the discussion gives little attention to possible disadvantages before deciding that the benefits outweigh them. To strengthen the response, develop fewer points in more depth and explain more explicitly why the advantages are greater overall.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion restates the position. Paragraphs generally have a central focus, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Additionally,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement. At times, however, several ideas are crowded into one paragraph, particularly the second body paragraph, where costs, trust, effort, and relationships are all introduced in quick succession. Some connections are also not fully explicit, so the reader has to infer how one claim leads to the next. Group related points more carefully and use clearer explanations between them to make the progression more flexible and precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “labour cost,” “transparency,” “mutual understanding,” and “professional relationships.” These choices show an attempt to express more than basic ideas. However, several word-choice and collocation errors make the language less natural, such as “get stick with their roots,” “learn with less pressure on the mind,” and “put efforts towards work.” Spelling errors, including “loyality,” “accomodation,” and “incrase,” also reduce accuracy. Some phrases are repeated or imprecise, such as “family business” and “growth.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; this will make your meaning clearer and help you use your vocabulary with greater control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if people choose family profession as a career option” and longer sentences explaining costs and relationships. The main ideas remain understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur across the response. For example, “eventually will generate profit” lacks a clear subject, while “family business get benefits” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “the family hey can understand,” the sentence also contains a typing or punctuation issue that disrupts the structure. Articles and plural forms are sometimes missing or inconsistent. Review sentence boundaries and check each clause for a clear subject and correctly formed verb; this would improve accuracy while preserving your attempts at complex sentences.
