Student answer (Band 5.5)
In some nations, relatives work together in their family organizations. The upside of family members venturing into their business is to increase their financial status while the drawback is limitated to one source of income.I believe the joint business with relations is highly profitable than the one carried out alone. This essay will discusss the pro and cons of family business with examples.
Firstly, one of the benefits of cooperating the family company is the increase in the economical value of the household. When individuals work in a business that belongs to their family, they will work harder to ensure that the business is growing fast in order to sustain their financial standard. For instance, companies whose most of their workers are their relatives do more better than other. People should employ the members of the household more to increase the sustainibility of the firm.
On the other hand, the drawback of family business is that they are centered to only one source of income. They tend to depend solely on their family business without looking for another type of business to venture into. For example, individuals who manages family cooperation hardly sought for another form of employment. The public are encouraged to start up a new business as side from the family own.
In conclusion,Business are build to keep a family legacy . so it dhold be welll organized and managed. From my own perspective, family business boost their financie because it was done in group and it has more pluspoints than limitations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that family businesses are more beneficial, supported by the idea that relatives may work harder to protect the household’s finances. The paragraph about relying on one source of income also provides a relevant disadvantage. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the claim that family firms perform better is broad, and the example does not explain how this happens or provide a specific illustration. The conclusion mentions legacy and group effort but does not clearly weigh these against the stated risk. To strengthen the response, explain the mechanisms behind each point and make the comparison between advantages and disadvantages more explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for an advantage and a disadvantage, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “Firstly” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the main contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the advice to employ relatives and the recommendation to start another business appear abruptly rather than being linked to the preceding explanation. Some references, such as “they” in the disadvantage paragraph, could be clearer. The conclusion also shifts quickly from legacy to financial benefits. Use linking phrases to show cause and result, and ensure each example is followed by an explanation of how it supports the main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “financial status,” “source of income,” “family legacy,” and “organized and managed.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “limitated to one source of income” and “centered to only one source” do not express the intended idea naturally; “economical value of the household” is also unclear in context. Spelling and word-form errors such as “discusss,” “sustainibility,” and “financie” further reduce precision. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “rely on a single income stream” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and some attempts at more complex structures, including “When individuals work in a business that belongs to their family, they will work harder…” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation sometimes make sentences difficult to read. Examples include “companies … do more better,” “individuals who manages,” and “Business are build.” Several sentences also run together because spaces after full stops are missing, while the conclusion has inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and separate complete sentences clearly. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to understand.
