Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people in the whole world work with their family members and help to expand their family bussiness.in my prospective tis idea has more affirmative impacts rather then negatives.i will explain my ideas briefly in following paragraphs.
To begin with, many persons are working with in their family bussiness in multiple countries. This idea helps them to enhance their bussiness skills as modern generation has more educated and they like to use their education skills like Engineering, marketing, bussiness management to reach their bussiness a high level rather then working as employee in other places.for example, one of my friend studied in USA and after completing his graduation in Machining he is working as a Machinist in his father,s company. He used his skills in the bussiness and bought new modern machines that saves their time and efforts.
Furthermore, this idea helps people to live stress free life .if a person working in a other company or as a employee he would has to be desciplined.for examole,i worked in a factory from 9-6pm.if i go late for 5minutes company gives me write off, whilw in a family bussiness we are the owners.the more we expand our family bussiness, the more we can let our kids live a stress free life.
on the other hand,i think the one demerit of working with the family is unexpected loss.we cant rely on a single earning.if we goes down then the whole family suffers.
conclusion, although people can suffer in a family bussiness in unexpected down,a person can get more freedom and better life while working with their family members.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe family businesses bring more benefits than drawbacks, and you discuss relevant reasons, including the chance to apply professional skills and greater flexibility. The example of your friend introducing modern machinery helps illustrate the first point. You also acknowledge a disadvantage—financial loss affecting the whole family—so the response addresses both sides of the question. However, the flexibility argument is less fully explained: being an owner does not necessarily mean having a stress-free life, and the claim about children benefiting is not supported with a specific explanation. Develop this point and clarify how the risk of loss compares with the benefits to make your argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting advantages, a paragraph acknowledging a disadvantage, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “on the other hand” make the main stages easy to follow. The example is placed alongside the point it supports, which helps the progression. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, however. For instance, the move from workplace discipline to the claim that family businesses let children live a stress-free life needs an explicit explanation. The conclusion also repeats the main position without drawing together the comparison. Use clearer links between claims and evidence, and vary transitions so the organisation feels more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “family business,” “modern machines,” “skills,” and “unexpected loss.” There are also attempts at more specific terms such as “business management” and “Machinist.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including repeated misspellings of “business,” “prospective” where “perspective” is intended, and “write off” for a formal penalty or warning. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “reach their business a high level” and “live stress free life.” These choices sometimes make the reader pause. Build a bank of accurate collocations for discussing business growth, financial risk, and work-life flexibility, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if a person working in a other company…,” and the example about your friend combines several details. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. For example, “if we goes down then the whole family suffers” has an agreement error, while “he would has to be” uses an incorrect verb form. Several sentences also run together after full stops, and capitalisation is inconsistent. Practise forming accurate conditional sentences and checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly conjugated verb. More reliable punctuation and sentence boundaries would improve readability.
