In many countries, family members work together in their family business.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
In several nations, family members work together in their family businesses. Although working together can sometimes create conflicts related to money or tasks, I believe that its advantages outweigh the disadvantages, as it offers reliability and flexibility.
on the one hand, people when work with their family members, they cannot only trust them blindly, but also relay on them. Sometimes in the business people cannot stay at their shops for a long time, as they have to take care of the other departments, including supply and delivery. Therefore, they have to have someone whom they can believe. For example, a grocery store have a plethora of tasks associated with arranging products on the shelfs, discarding expired products, and making sure they are not short of employees. Moreover, flexibility is also there. when they want to take leaves, they can ask their other family members to help. As a result, family members can effectively run their businesses together while spending time with their loved ones.
on the other hand, one major drawback of this trend is that it can also create conflicts among family members related to finances and responsibilities. It is quite common to have fights over the distribution of the tasks, as some people reckon that they are doing more than others. In addition to this, some people
also have concers related to the money management because they think that other members are spending unnecessarily. consequently, individuals often decides to start their own business rather than working together in the family businesses.
In conclusion, while some people face problems related to workload and money management, I think people can easily manage their household responsibilities while having responsible people at the business whom they trust the most.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and the conclusion returns to this view. You address both sides with relevant points, including trust and flexibility as benefits and disputes over workload and money as drawbacks. The grocery-store example helps illustrate the practical demands of running a business. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the link between trusting relatives and business reliability could be developed with a specific consequence or example. The disadvantage paragraph also gives limited detail about how disagreements affect the business. Extending these points and making the final judgement more explicit would make the response more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. The progression from trust and flexibility to conflict is easy to follow, and examples are placed in the relevant sections. Linking phrases such as “For example,” “Moreover,” and “As a result” help connect ideas. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical, particularly with the repeated “on the one hand” and “on the other hand” framing, and some links do not express the relationship precisely. The conclusion also introduces “household responsibilities,” which is not clearly connected to the main discussion. Use more varied transitions and clearer references between claims and examples to strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “distribution of the tasks,” “money management,” “expired products,” and “responsibilities.” These choices allow you to discuss both the practical and interpersonal aspects of family businesses. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “a plethora of tasks,” although this sounds overly formal in the grocery-store example. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “relay on them” and “take leaves,” while spelling errors such as “shelfs” and “concers” reduce accuracy. Aim for natural, precise business-related phrasing and check spelling carefully; this would make your vocabulary more flexible and controlled.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the opening and clauses introduced by “as” and “while.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence structure, agreement, and punctuation. For example, “people when work with their family members” has an incorrect clause structure, “a grocery store have” lacks subject–verb agreement, and “individuals often decides” uses the wrong verb form. Several sentences also begin with lowercase “on,” “when,” or “consequently,” and the final sentence’s structure is awkward. Review clause formation, singular/plural agreement, and sentence boundaries while continuing to use varied structures.
