Student answer (Band 5.5)
It has become popular to join the family business in these days in many nations. Family members to work together in their family business. I believe it has more benefits: it not only boosts relationships but also strengthens them; however, it may create conflict between family members.
First and foremost, the main advantage is that joining a family business increases their relationship bonding because when they do work together that time they spend more time with their family members which help to maintain trust, team-work and strong bonding with each other. Also, it may benefical for them to support each other and shared rssponsibilities. Therefore, they make decisions quickly and grow their family businees in future.
However, working in family business may lead conflicts between them due to this it may effect their business thats why they can not focus on their tasks. For example, when they divide their responsibilities then some time their other members not agree to do finish that work which create fighiting seen between them also effect their business. Moreover, they do not become independent beacuse they think having family business is enough source for them to rean money.
In conclusion, although doing work together is helpful to incraese their relationship bonding and finacial strong, but also it lead the conflicts and not helpful to become independent in famil business.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that family businesses have benefits, while acknowledging possible conflict, and you address both sides of the question. The points about spending more time together, sharing responsibilities and disagreements over tasks are relevant. However, several ideas are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that family members make decisions quickly is not supported with a specific reason or example. The point about becoming less independent is also introduced briefly and not developed. Your conclusion repeats the main points but does not clearly weigh them to show why the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The response is 26 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph on advantages, one on disadvantages, and a conclusion. This makes the overall direction easy to follow, and signposts such as “First and foremost,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of your argument. Some connections between ideas are less clear, though. In the disadvantages paragraph, “due to this” and “thats why” create a crowded chain of cause and effect, while the example about dividing responsibilities is difficult to follow. The conclusion’s “although … but also” construction also makes the relationship between the two sides unclear. Use fewer linking phrases and make each sentence’s connection to the previous one explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “responsibilities,” “decisions,” “conflicts,” and “independent.” However, the range is limited and several repeated or inaccurate phrases make the writing less natural. For instance, “relationship bonding” is repeated where “family relationships” or “family bonds” would be clearer, and “financial strong” does not express the intended idea naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “benefical,” “rssponsibilities,” “businees,” and “fighiting,” which can distract the reader. Aim to learn common word partnerships as complete phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the advantages and disadvantages without relying on repeated wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast in the introduction and a reason-and-result structure in the body. However, the longer constructions are often faulty, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For example, “Family members to work together” is not a complete sentence, while “when they do work together that time they spend more time” has an unclear clause structure. Subject–verb agreement is also inconsistent in “which help to maintain,” and the final sentence combines “although” with “but” incorrectly. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly formed subordinate clause, then check agreement, articles and punctuation before adding further complexity.
