Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many countries workng together and running family businesses have more advantages than disadvantages.I firmly believe that working together is more beneficial than disadvantages.Family members together can work hard to get more benefits and to produce a good outcomes from businesses. That results in financial benifits.
In my perspective, working together plays a crucial role to make businesses more successful. For instance some people from same family run business by dividing their time and work. This stragedy makes worker more puntual and desiplined.Daily visits and check balance make workers more active and they cannot cheat on their boss.Futhermore in many businesses products are brought from foreingn countries which is impossible for one person to do so many task at a time.Team work can enhance the productivity.Additionally family members can run businesses on international level that will improve their earning. Many partners can efficiently work together in production as well as marketing.Besides that they can check there profit and loss balance well.If one partner have some sort of work he can request other partner to work on his behalf. These measure are very essential to work in comfortable and convinient way.Customers also impress by this kind of unity and can trust on them.Even owners from other factories inspire by there efforts and work and like to built good businesses relation with them.
In conclusion I firmly believe that in businesses people more trust on their family memebers than others.Mutual understanding between family members as a business partners significanlty improves the profits and led to successful business

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you believe family businesses have more advantages, and you give relevant reasons such as shared workloads, mutual trust, and improved productivity. Examples like one partner covering for another help connect the discussion to practical business situations. However, the response mainly lists benefits rather than explaining how they lead to success, and it does not consider any disadvantages, despite the question asking for a comparison. Some claims, such as customers trusting family businesses more, would benefit from a specific example or explanation. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Develop fewer points in greater depth and briefly acknowledge a possible drawback before explaining why the advantages outweigh it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an identifiable opening, a main paragraph, and a conclusion, and the ideas generally remain focused on family businesses. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Furthermore,” and “Additionally” help signal new points. However, most of the discussion is placed in one long paragraph, so the progression between ideas is difficult to follow. Several points are added in a list-like way, and connectors such as “Besides that” and “Even” do not always show a precise relationship between the ideas. References such as “These measure” and “there efforts” are also unclear. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, and make each point follow a clear sequence: claim, explanation, and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “productivity,” “international level,” “profit and loss,” and “mutual understanding.” These choices show an attempt to discuss business operations rather than relying entirely on very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “check balance” and “work in comfortable and convinient way” are not natural collocations in this context, while “products are brought from foreingn countries” is imprecise. Spelling errors such as “benifits,” “stragedy,” and “punctual” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of accurate business collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “If one partner have some sort of work he can request other partner to work on his behalf.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently. Subject–verb agreement is a recurring problem: “one partner have” should be “one partner has,” and “Customers also impress” needs a different construction, such as “Customers are also impressed.” Articles and plurals are also often missing or incorrect, as in “a good outcomes” and “other partner.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, particularly where several ideas run together. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
