Student answer (Band 5.0)
It has been the case in many countries, and many families work together in their family businesses. I partially believe that family businesses have both advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, family businesses are very beneficial, and many people prefer to run their own or family businesses. For instance, someone has an own shop and he is doing marketing and selling other people's goods in the local areas aslo he earn profit from that stuff. Family businesses are very helpful for the young generation; they do not need to suffer a lot to find a job after their studies. Additionally, running family businesses is also beneficial for the country's economy, and they play a vital role.
On the other hand, running a family business has some disadvantages for people. Many of us rely on our family business, and we do not have any other skills in our lives. For example, someone has a small business and many families forced to their children's to run their business and they know it not worthy any more. I think family business is not a bad occupation; however, you can run this as a part-time job and try to enage your self in different courses, which is worthy for our family work.
Furthermore, I partially think as mentioned above, both sides has difeerent veiws man of agrued family business is preferable and othe side many of think with family business children should have to learn other new skill and promote in their family busniess.
In conclusion, in many countries, family members work together in their family business. somehow both sides has pros and cons so we need to run family businesses and need to learn new skills for the better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both advantages and disadvantages and give a relevant overall view that family businesses can be useful if people also develop other skills. Examples such as young people having work after their studies and family members being expected to continue a business relate to the topic. However, the position is not fully clear: “I partially believe” is repeated, but you do not explain whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Several points are asserted rather than developed, particularly the claim about the country’s economy and the example of children being forced to run a business. State your comparison directly and explain one or two consequences in more detail, using a specific example to support your judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify the main sections. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the contrast. However, progression within and between ideas is uneven. The final body paragraph repeats the earlier claim that both sides have different views rather than adding a distinct point, and the conclusion largely restates the topic. Some links are difficult to follow, especially the sentence beginning “For example, someone has a small business…” and the phrase “as mentioned above.” Organise each body paragraph around one clear main idea, then explain it and give a connected example; avoid repeating the same position in a new paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “family businesses,” “run,” “profit,” “economy,” and “skills,” and the meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “an own shop,” “not worthy any more,” and “enage your self in different courses.” Spelling errors, including “aslo,” “dif eerent,” “veiws,” and “busniess,” also make the writing less clear. Aim for more precise business-related expressions and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, describe whether a business is “no longer viable” rather than “not worthy,” and use “develop skills” instead of the unclear phrase about engaging in courses.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using connectors such as “Additionally,” “however,” and “Furthermore.” Nevertheless, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “he earn profit,” “many families forced to their children's,” and “both sides has pros and cons”; these show problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. The sentence beginning “For instance, someone has an own shop” also combines several actions without clear grammatical control. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with clauses. Check agreement and verb forms, and make sure each example has a clear subject and complete verb structure.
