Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you describe the theatre’s location, 3D facilities, sound system and construction; invite Salman to the opening; and explain that his experience and reputation make him a suitable guest. The invitation is clear, and the details about the venue are relevant. However, some ideas are less fully developed or unclear. For example, “a great time and way of loyalty” does not explain convincingly why his attendance would be meaningful, and the opening is only identified as “this weekend,” without a specific date or time. Develop the reasons for choosing him with a clearer link between his career and the theatre’s purpose, and provide practical event details so the invitation feels complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the theatre, makes the invitation, and then gives reasons for selecting the actor. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “So” and “We admire your work” signal the shift to the next point. At times, however, the connections between ideas are mechanical or unclear. The first paragraph strings together several venue details, while “Its a great time and way of loyalty” does not clearly connect to the preceding explanation of his experience. Improve progression by grouping related details and using clearer links to show how each reason supports the invitation. A more conventional closing would also make the final paragraph feel more complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for describing a venue and making a formal invitation, including “prime location,” “sound system,” “opening,” and “experience.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “business hub” and “special welcome.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning unclear: “proper well lit,” “for its arcitecture,” and “a great time and way of loyalty” are examples. Spelling errors such as “oppourtunity,” “premission,” and “arcitecture” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations and precise wording, for example, describe the theatre as “well-lit” and explain directly how the actor’s career relates to the venue.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “whose put their efforts day and night” and a reason introduced by “which.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. Examples include “we are opening a new theatre in prime location,” “whose put,” “We have been delight to see you,” and “thanks in advance for you time.” These involve article use, verb forms, and sentence construction. There are also punctuation and capitalisation slips, such as “doing well.I” and lowercase “i.” Review articles and subject–verb patterns, and check each sentence for a complete, correctly formed verb phrase. More accurate control of these structures would make the letter smoother.
