Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you describe features such as the children’s section and food court, invite Mr Khan to open the venue, and explain that his popularity and influence among young people could benefit the company. The purpose is clear throughout, and the invitation to cut the ribbon is specific. This meets the task well, though some details are less fully developed: for example, the theatre’s location, opening date, or what the ceremony will involve are not given, and the reasons he is a suitable guest remain quite general. The description also shifts between “cinema hall” and “theatre,” so clarify the venue consistently. More precise event details and a fuller explanation of his connection to the theatre would strengthen the letter further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening and purpose, information about the venue, the invitation, and reasons for choosing the actor, followed by a closing. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Firstly,” and “Secondaly” help signal the order of information, although the latter is misspelled and the transitions can feel mechanical. Some sentences are crowded, particularly the description of the theatre’s facilities, which makes the relationship between the features less clear. The closing also combines thanks, a hope for a reply, and a farewell without smooth punctuation. Use clearer sentence boundaries and more natural links between ideas, while keeping the useful paragraph structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “opening ceremony,” “food court,” “VIP theatre,” and “cut the ribbons.” However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the letter sound less natural: “heartly,” “greatful,” “reasonal prices,” and “a inspiration” are examples. Phrases such as “do our opening ceremony” and “come for atleast 1 hour” are understandable but not idiomatic. Aim for more precise formal invitation language and check spelling carefully. For instance, “attend the opening ceremony” and “affordable prices” would express your meaning more naturally and professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including “I would really appreciate it if you could come” and the conditional “If you come it would be very helpful for us.” The main message remains understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are noticeable. Examples include “I am a managing director from StageStorm entertainment company,” “we just build new theatre,” and “People know for your bold attitude,” where articles, verb forms, and sentence patterns need correction. There are also punctuation and spacing problems, such as the missing comma after the conditional clause and spaces before full stops. Practise accurate articles and verb forms, and proofread each sentence for complete, correctly punctuated structure.
