Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter covers all three bullet points effectively. You provided specific details about the theatre's location and facilities, extended a clear invitation, and justified why the actor is a suitable choice. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal request. To reach a higher band, ensure that the information provided is more cohesive; for example, the description of the theatre's facilities is a bit list-like. Additionally, ensure the tone remains consistent throughout, as the transition from the formal opening to the slightly informal reasoning in the final paragraphs could be smoother.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized with clear paragraphing. Each paragraph addresses a specific requirement of the prompt. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical. Phrases like 'In addition' and 'Lastly' are used frequently, which can make the flow feel a bit repetitive. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and transition phrases to connect your ideas more fluidly. The referencing is generally clear, though the transition between the theatre description and the invitation could be more sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'grand ceremony', 'guest of honour', and 'modern facilities'. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'cinema hall' (should be plural 'halls'), 'food coart' (spelling: 'court'), and 'publicty' (spelling: 'publicity'). The phrasing '11 am in the morning' is redundant. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure accurate spelling of common business-related terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'one of the most successful actor' (should be 'actors') and 'cater over 1000 guests' (should be 'caters to'). Punctuation is generally fine, though there are some minor issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for pluralization and subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy.
