Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: providing information about the theatre, issuing an invitation, and explaining why the actor is a suitable choice. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. The description of the theatre is a list of features rather than a cohesive narrative, and the explanation for the actor's suitability is repetitive. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening salutation 'Dear Sir or Madam' is generic, whereas the prompt implies a specific famous actor, suggesting a more personalized approach would have been better. The ideas are relevant but could be expanded with more descriptive language to better persuade the recipient.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'The new theater' and 'We also'. Some sentences are fragmented, such as 'Which is famous place among the Canada', which disrupts the flow of information. The transition between the description of the theatre and the invitation is abrupt. To improve, you should use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that sentences are connected more fluidly rather than appearing as a series of short, simple statements.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic terms like 'new', 'famous', and 'good'. There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'resiling' (likely meant 'releasing') and 'Yours Securely' (which is not a standard formal sign-off; 'Yours sincerely' is the correct convention). The phrasing 'famous place among the Canada' is unnatural. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the entertainment industry, such as 'state-of-the-art facilities', 'acclaimed', or 'inauguration'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. Frequent grammatical errors include subject-verb agreement ('The facility have', 'The event is schedule'), missing articles ('in downtown', 'at our theater'), and incorrect verb forms ('resiling'). Sentence structure is often simplistic, and some sentences are grammatically incomplete or incorrectly punctuated. While the meaning remains clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and tense usage prevent the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
