Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: providing information about the theatre, extending the invitation, and explaining the choice of the actor. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. The explanation for why the actor is a good choice is quite brief and relies on general statements about 'reputation' rather than specific details. The tone is also inconsistent; while it attempts a formal structure, phrases like 'invite you with heart' are unnatural in a professional context. To improve, ensure that each bullet point is expanded with more specific, relevant details to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally awkward, such as 'To commence with, actually I am working...'. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow could be improved by using more varied linking words. Referencing is generally clear, but the overall progression of ideas feels a bit disjointed due to the repetitive sentence structures and limited range of connectors. Improving the variety of transition signals would help the text flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'writing regards to invite in opening' and 'plaining to open now theatre'. The phrase 'invite you with heart' is not standard English in this context. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is a lack of flexibility in expressing ideas. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and professional terminology appropriate for a business letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The letter contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'I am writing regards to', 'plaining to open now theatre' (spelling/word choice), and 'the most primary reason that We choose you is that your renowned personality'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing and capitalisation (e.g., 'M e and my company'). These errors occasionally cause the reader to pause, though they do not completely impede communication. Increasing the accuracy of basic sentence structures and proofreading for minor errors would significantly improve the score.
