Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The letter covers all three bullet points effectively. You provided details about the theatre, including the opening date and facilities, issued a clear invitation, and explained why the actor is a suitable choice. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a public figure. To reach a higher band, you could expand slightly on the specific reasons why this actor is the perfect choice, perhaps by mentioning their specific contribution to the arts or their influence on your company's vision, which would add more depth to your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different requirements of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Additionally' and 'Hence' to link ideas. However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the transition between the theatre description and the invitation feels more natural. Some sentences, such as the final sentence of the second paragraph, are slightly clunky, which affects the overall cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'inauguration', 'memorable', and 'ceremony'. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'open new theatre' (missing an article) and 'pubic' (a spelling error for 'public'). To improve, try to use more precise collocations and ensure spelling is accurate. The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the sophistication or 'less common' items that would push the score into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'all set to open new theatre' (missing 'a'), 'this theatre would be open for pubic' (should be 'public'), and 'that will definitely going to grab' (incorrect verb form). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles will significantly improve your accuracy.
