Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You provided relevant details about the theatre, such as its size and facilities, extended a clear invitation, and provided a logical justification for why the actor is a suitable choice. The tone is appropriate for a formal business letter. To reach a higher band, ensure that all minor details are fully developed; for instance, you could have elaborated slightly more on the specific nature of the 'grand celebration' to add more depth to your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the task, which helps the reader follow your argument easily. You used some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Additionally' to link your ideas. However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing is always precise. For example, 'the event' is used repeatedly; varying your vocabulary or using pronouns more effectively would enhance the overall cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have used a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly, such as 'exceptional entertainment venue' and 'considerable public interest'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'guest f honour' (typo) and 'native from Ahmedabad' (should be 'a native of'). While these do not impede communication, they prevent the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of key phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as missing articles ('attend event' instead of 'attend the event') and punctuation errors (e.g., 'Moreover, It' should be 'Moreover, it'). Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'undoubtly' and 'wellknown'. To achieve a higher score, focus on proofreading for small errors in articles and punctuation, and try to incorporate a slightly wider variety of complex grammatical structures with greater accuracy.
