Student answer (Band 8.0)

Dear Mr. Ahmed,

I am writing on behalf of Starline Entertainment to invite you to officially open our newly constructed theatre in Lahore next month.

The theatre, situated in the heart of the city, has been designed as a modern venue for both local and international productions. It accommodates 600 guests and features state-of-the-art lighting, sound systems and comfortable seating. We are also planning to host drama performances, musical shows and cultural events throughout the year.

It would be a tremendous honor if you could perform the opening ceremony on 15 October at 6:00 p.m. We would be delighted if you could unveil the commemorative plaque and address our invited guests before the first performance.

I believe you would be the ideal person for this occasion because of your outstanding contribution to the performing arts and your immense popularity with audiences of all ages. Moreover, your presence would generate considerable public interest and make the opening truly memorable.

I sincerely hope you will accept our invitation.

Yours sincerely,

Ali Khan
