Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response successfully covers all requirements of the prompt. You give basic information about the new theatre, such as when the opening ceremony will be held and its comfortable seating. You clearly invite the actor to open the theatre and explain why she or he would be a suitable choice, pointing out their large follower count on Instagram and the success of their recent movie. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and relies on simple explanations. To reach a higher band, the ideas could be extended with more specific details about the theatre or the ceremony. Nevertheless, all bullet points are addressed satisfactorily, resulting in a solid performance for this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter maintains a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical sequence from greeting to invitation, reasoning, and sign-off. However, paragraphing is poorly handled; the entire body of the letter is compressed into a single dense paragraph, which affects the visual and structural organization. While basic cohesive devices such as 'and', 'that is why', and 'apart from this' are used, referencing is sometimes repetitive, and punctuation around cohesive markers (like spaces before commas) is erratic. To improve, you should break the text into distinct paragraphs for each main idea, such as introducing the theatre, making the invitation, and explaining the reasons.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The lexical resource is adequate for the task, demonstrating a mix of common and some less common vocabulary. You attempt phrases like 'bollywood industry', 'fan following', and 'positive reviews'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as saying 'an opening ceremony' (instead of 'the opening ceremony'), 'take a part' (instead of 'take part'), 'hits over millon views' (instead of 'reached over a million views'), and 'perfect person of our opening ceremony' (instead of 'perfect person for our opening ceremony'). Spelling is generally accurate, with just a minor slip in 'millon', but vocabulary range remains limited.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('If you will take a part...') and relative clauses ('who also hits...'). However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors, including tense and modal usage ('will held' instead of 'will be held'), redundant articles ('In new theatre' instead of 'In the new theatre'), and incorrect verb forms in conditionals ('If you will take' instead of 'If you take'). Punctuation errors, such as spaces placed before commas and periods, are also frequent throughout the text. Despite these issues, the meaning remains clear and communication is not impeded.
