Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response successfully covers all parts of the prompt. You gave information about the new theatre, mentioning that it is the largest in Mumbai with 10 auditoriums and parking for 1,000 vehicles. You invited the actor to open the theatre, addressing them as 'Chef Guest' (intended as Chief Guest), and explained why they would be a good person to open it by noting their filming background, local roots, and popularity with the public. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter of invitation, and all bullet points are addressed satisfactorily, earning a solid band score for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing that serves the purpose of the letter well. Ideas are logically sequenced, moving from the announcement and invitation to details about the venue, and finally to scheduling logistics. However, there are some minor cohesive faults, such as the mechanical transition 'Moreover' and referencing issues like 'inform the my team', which slightly disrupt the flow. Cohesive devices are used adequately, but referencing and linking could be smoother to reach a higher band level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common items such as 'thrilled to announce' and 'filming background'. However, there are notable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'theather' instead of theatre, 'ypur' instead of your, 'Chef Guest' instead of Chief Guest, 'inugration' instead of inauguration, and 'lergest' instead of largest. These errors do not impede overall communication, as the reader can still understand the meaning, but they restrict the lexical score to this level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'Since, you have filming background I love if you will accept my request'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation slips, including missing articles ('As it built' instead of 'As it is built'), incorrect verb forms ('people loves'), preposition errors ('parking for 1000 vehicles' is acceptable, but 'visiting there' is awkward), and punctuation issues with commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they demonstrate a lack of firm control over complex structures.
