Student answer (Band 7.5)
Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing this letter to invite you to be the guest of honour for the opening of my new theatre.
The theatre is located on the ground floor of the city centre because it will be easily accessible for the public. Moreover, it is a modern theatre with the comfortable seating area with the capacity of almost 300 people. Furthermore, it has been designed with advanced lighting and sound quality.
It would be a great honour if you could attend the opening ceremony. The grand opening is scheduled for 15 October 2026 at 6:00 p.m. At the beginning of the ceremony the ribbon cutting ceremony will take place with a short speech for the guest and then the refreshments will be provided to all the guests.
Since you are a true inspiration to the youngsters and highly respected in the industry, I certainly believe that you will be a great choice. Additionally, your presence will definitely attract media attention. I would be happy to provide more information if required.
I sincerely hope that you will accept this invitation .
Yours faithfully,
Suman Malhi
