Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all three bullet points required in the task instructions. You successfully provided information about the new theatre by mentioning its modern design, impressive ambiance, and children's nursery facilities. You explicitly invited the actor to the opening ceremony and explained why she/he would be a suitable person, citing the company's long-standing good relationship with the actor and their inspirational personality and dedication. Although the tone and structure are appropriate for a semi-formal letter, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and contains minor mechanical inaccuracies. Therefore, the response fulfills the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is generally coherent and arranged with an overall logical structure, moving from the invitation and description of the theatre to the reasons for the choice of guest and a closing remark. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different topics, such as the theatre details, the invitation itself, and the personal connection with the actor. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or awkwardly handled, such as the transition 'Moreover, your inspirational personality...'. Additionally, referencing and linking between sentences occasionally lack fluidity, placing this performance solidly at Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common lexical items such as 'magnificent work', 'appealing facilities', and 'inspirational personality'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'recently introduce a another modern thearter', 'interior designer made a magnificent work on curtains', and 'Your presences is highly appreciable'. Spelling mistakes like 'thearter' and 'insipred' also occur. These errors do not completely impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

You attempted a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses ('which gives impressive ambiance') and conditional-style constructions ('if you could come'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and agreement, including 'Our company has recently introduce a another', 'there is an appealing facilities', and 'Your presences is highly appreciable'. Punctuation and capitalization errors also appear, such as spacing issues before punctuation marks. These frequent errors occasionally cause minor difficulty for the reader, placing this response at a Band 5.0.
