Dear Bala,
I am writing to invite you as a special guest to inaugarate the new theatre owned by the Bollywood entertainment pictures company on Sepetember 20 this month. I am working in this company from almost ten yeras and say that this movie theatre is going to be a turning point for the company.
Firstly, it is the first ever 3D theatre in the south india. Although construction team faced so many consequence while building it, they finished the project really well. In addition to that, it is installed with 600 reclyner seats for the audience convienience.
Furthermore, we planned to release your upcoming film as the first show in the theatre. I think you are the right person to open our new theatre. I have dropped the invitation cover at your office.
I request you to attend the ceremony to double the energy. I know your craze in the audience. I hope your support us by coming to the party and make it successful.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I can't wait to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Bala

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the task. The writer introduces the new theatre owned by the Bollywood entertainment pictures company, provides specific details such as the opening date on September 20, its status as the first 3D theatre in south India, and the inclusion of 600 recliner seats. The letter clearly invites the actor to open the venue and effectively explains why they are a suitable choice, specifically mentioning the plan to premiere their upcoming film and their popularity with the audience. The tone is appropriate for an invitation letter to a celebrity. The ideas are relevant and well-developed, earning a solid Band 7.0 for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organised with a clear beginning, middle, and end, following a standard correspondence structure. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different points, such as theatre features, the invitation rationale, and final requests. Cohesive devices are employed reasonably well, with transitional phrases like 'Firstly', 'In addition to that', and 'Furthermore' helping to guide the reader through the text. However, referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as 'hope your support us' and a few minor cohesive slips. Overall, the organisation demonstrates clear logical progression throughout, fitting the Band 7.0 descriptor well.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey information about the entertainment industry and event planning, including terms like 'special guest', 'ceremony', and 'upcoming film'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as 'inaugarate' instead of inaugurate, 'Sepetember' instead of September, 'consequence' instead of difficulties, and 'reclyner' instead of recliner. Additionally, phrases like 'I know your craze in the audience' are unnatural. While the vocabulary is adequate to communicate the intended message clearly, the frequency of spelling errors and unnatural collocations prevents the score from rising above Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, incorporating clauses with 'Although', 'Furthermore', and relative clauses. There are, however, several grammatical errors throughout the text. For instance, the preposition in 'I am working in this company from almost ten yeras' should be 'have been working... for almost ten years'. Other errors include 'convienience' (spelling), 'we planned' (should be 'we are planning'), and 'hope your support us'. Despite these persistent errors, the meaning remains clear and communication is not impeded. This performance aligns well with the Band 6.0 descriptors for grammatical range and accuracy.
