Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response covers all three bullet points required in the task instructions. You provided some information about the new theatre by mentioning that it is the first cinema hall in the area and introducing seat options like premium, business, and local, along with customer services. You successfully invited the actor to the grand opening and explained why they are a suitable person, highlighting that they are a role model for youngsters who promote honesty, loyalty, and determination. However, the tone fluctuates slightly between formal and informal, and some ideas are somewhat repetitive, particularly regarding why the actor is an inspiration. Overall, all parts of the task are adequately addressed, earning a solid Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall arrangement and is divided into logical paragraphs for the introduction, theatre details, the invitation, and the reasons for choosing the actor. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, the transition between sentences in the second paragraph ('It different from other theatre too because we will lauch customer services in the hall too') feels abrupt, and referencing is occasionally unclear. Paragraphing is used, but the overall progression could be smoother with more varied and accurate cohesive devices. This performance fits the Band 6.0 descriptor.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempted a range of vocabulary appropriate for a general letter, such as 'entertainment company', 'role model', and 'inspiration'. However, there are notable word choice and spelling inaccuracies, such as 'lauch' instead of 'launch', 'picture hall' as a repetitive synonym for theatre, and awkward phrasing like 'in the neck of the woods' and 'fate in parents' (likely meaning faith). These errors do not impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5, reflecting a limited yet minimally adequate range with noticeable errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You demonstrated a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'I am writing to invite you for the opening of our new theatre' and 'I think you are an inspiration for youngsters because your every single movie motivates individuals for honesty.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward structures throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('it plans', 'which varies on different prices'), missing prepositions, and incorrect phrasing ('We are feel proud'). These errors occasionally cause minor difficulty for the reader, aligning the grammar with a Band 5.5.
