Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task satisfactorily. You effectively provide information about the new theatre by stating it is located in Sialkot, will open on 10th October at 5 PM, and features advanced VR and 3D technology. You successfully invite the actor, Shan, and explain why she/he would be a good person to open the theatre, noting the offer to become a brand ambassador, the free screening of the film 'Jawan', and how their presence will add energy to the audience. However, the tone is occasionally a bit too informal and direct for a professional correspondence, such as diving straight into business without a polite introductory greeting appropriate for a celebrity. Nevertheless, all bullet points are addressed with relevant and extended ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter is logically organised into clear paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose from the introduction and event details to the invitation rationale and concluding remarks. Cohesive devices are used adequately, such as 'That's why having you...' and 'We have invited other celebrities...', ensuring smooth transitions between sentences and ideas. However, paragraphing could be slightly refined, and some referencing is a bit mechanical. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow, and the structure fits the general format of an invitation letter well.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'event manager', 'brand ambassador', and 'celebrities'. However, there are notable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'threatres' and 'threather' instead of 'theatres' and 'theatre', 'managment' instead of 'management', and 'on the opening ceremony' instead of 'to/for the opening ceremony'. These lexical inaccuracies slightly lower the overall impression, though they do not impede communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as relative clauses ('technology which is not available in the country') and conditional/temporal structures ('after opening ceremony while having drinks'). There are several grammatical errors and omissions, such as 'invite you on the opening ceremony' (preposition error), 'not available the country' (missing preposition 'in'), and 'opening ceremony' (missing article 'the'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, and while these errors persist, they rarely impede communication.
