Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task in a general sense, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. You successfully mention the purpose of the letter and invite the actor, providing basic details such as the location ('hyderabad near kukatpally metro station') and the date ('12-10-2026'). However, the explanation of why the actor is a good choice to open the theatre is overly personal and vague, relying on repetitive statements about being inspired and helped in the past rather than focusing on the actor's professional suitability or public appeal. The tone is also somewhat inconsistent for a formal business invitation to a celebrity. To improve further, you should expand each bullet point with clearer, more relevant professional justifications and maintain a consistently appropriate semi-formal or formal register.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The letter shows some organisation, but there is a lack of clear overall progression between the ideas. The entire body of the letter is condensed into a single massive paragraph, which makes the structure appear faulty and difficult to follow. Paragraphing is not used effectively to separate distinct topics such as the invitation details, background information, and personal reasons. Additionally, cohesive devices are basic, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as starting multiple sentences with 'and' or 'that'. To reach a higher level, you need to divide your writing into logical paragraphs and use a wider variety of appropriate transition words to connect your thoughts smoothly and clearly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. You attempt some less common words and phrases, such as 'inspiration', 'growth', and 'helping nature', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling, such as 'inpired', 'sucess', and 'leave' instead of 'live'. Furthermore, phrases like 'makes the reason now to build' sound unnatural and restrict precision. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips can occasionally cause some difficulty or hesitation for the reader. To improve your lexical score, you should focus on accurate word forms, correct spelling, and natural collocations suitable for professional communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic sentence forms with frequent errors. Attempts at complex sentences are often faulty, as seen in overly long, run-on structures like 'The main reason to invite you that you are my inspiration where i was inpired from your growth...' Furthermore, there are frequent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, capitalization, and prepositions, such as 'i was the one who you help me' and 'anybody having any problem if it came under to me i will definetly help to them'. These frequent errors can cause strain and difficulty for the reader. To improve, you should practise building shorter, more accurate sentences and review basic grammar rules regarding tense consistency and clause structure.
