Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response successfully addresses all three parts of the prompt, covering information about the new theatre, the invitation, and the reasons why the actor is suitable. However, some areas are more fully developed than others. For instance, the details about the facilities, such as the screen and seating, are somewhat disjointed and listed as simple points rather than being smoothly integrated. The explanation of why the actor is a good choice is brief, noting simply that 'you are most famous actor of our country and our hero also'. While the requirements of the task are generally met, a more thorough elaboration of these points with clearer context would bring greater depth to the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation evident in the letter, as it begins with a standard greeting, moves through the required points regarding the theatre and the invitation, and concludes with a sign-off. However, the overall progression is limited, and the text lacks clear paragraphing, as nearly all the main points are crammed into a single dense block of text. Furthermore, cohesive devices are somewhat inadequate and repetitive; phrases are linked together simply using basic connectors or punctuation errors rather than smooth transitions. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as shifting abruptly from facility details to the invitation without a clear logical bridge connecting the thoughts.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, providing basic terms related to an entertainment venue and an invitation, such as 'entertainment company', 'theatre', and 'invite'. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'employee' instead of 'an employee', 'main site of city center' instead of 'in the city centre', and 'old age person' instead of 'elderly people' or 'senior citizens'. Spelling errors also appear, such as 'compnay'. While communication is generally maintained despite these errors, the limited range and frequent inaccuracies restrict the vocabulary to a basic level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer employs a limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with occasional attempts at complex forms that are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('I am employee', 'open door of theatre'), incorrect verb forms and tense usage ('Our compnay plan', 'everyone can see on main wall', 'you are first person who enter', 'if you will joining'), and preposition errors. Punctuation is also problematic, with run-on sentences and improper full stops. These recurring errors can occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a restricted control over grammar and sentence construction.
