Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt, ensuring the reader understands the core purpose of the letter. You covered all bullet points by giving information about the new theatre, formally inviting Liza, and explaining why she is a suitable guest. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed or casually expressed. For instance, mentioning that you 'have watched all your concerts and shows' leans into a fan perspective rather than a professional theatre opening context, and the detail about the theatre having 'lots of entertaining facility' is somewhat basic. To move towards a higher band, ideas should be extended with more specific and relevant details appropriate for a business communication context.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter maintains a generally coherent overall arrangement and follows a standard letter structure with a clear greeting and sign-off. However, paragraphing and referencing show some mechanical tendencies. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'and', 'also', and 'because of', the progression between ideas sometimes feels abrupt. For instance, jumping from discussing fan events directly to logistics like getting an appointment with her manager lacks smooth transitional links. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in 'If you come you will definitely worth visitng this place'. Strengthening paragraph transitions and varying cohesive devices would enhance the flow of information.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully conveying your message to the reader. You attempted some less common vocabulary items such as 'formally invite', 'inaugration', and 'kind heartedness', but these included spelling mistakes ('inaugration' instead of 'inauguration') and word-form inaccuracies ('you will definitely worth visitng' instead of 'it will definitely be worth visiting'). Word choice is generally functional, but phrases like 'lots of entertaining facility' lack precision. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on precise word choices, accurate word forms, and error-free spelling when attempting more sophisticated or less common lexical items.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You demonstrated a mix of simple and complex sentence forms throughout the letter, such as conditional structures and subordinate clauses ('If you come you will definitely worth visitng...'). There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, including subject-verb agreement and tense issues, such as 'I have already get an appointment' (instead of 'got') and missing commas in complex sentences. Other minor slips include 'you are idol for many people' (missing the article 'an'). While these errors do not impede communication and the meaning remains clear, improving control over verb forms and prepositional use in grammatical patterns will help elevate your grammatical accuracy.
