Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your letter successfully addresses all parts of the prompt, satisfying the requirements for this criterion while showing glimpses of higher-level development. You clearly introduce the purpose of the letter on behalf of your company, invite the actor Diljit, explain some features of the new theatre, and justify why he is a suitable person for the opening. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. While the details about the theatre's capacity and technology are clear, your explanation of why he is a good choice is slightly repetitive, focusing heavily on his general influence without exploring more specific connections to the arts. To reach the next level, you need to extend all your main ideas thoroughly and maintain equal depth across every bullet point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear and logical progression of ideas from the introduction, through the details and the invitation, to the polite closing. You have effectively used paragraphing to separate different topics, such as the theatre description in the second paragraph and the invitation reasons in the third and fourth. However, your use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly faulty, such as the transition 'Your presense in here would be grateful for us'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some linking between sentences feels abrupt. To move higher, you need to employ a wider range of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure smoother transitions between your paragraphs and ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You display an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and successfully attempt some less common items such as 'inauguration', 'advanced technology', and 'popularity'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout your text that prevent you from achieving a higher band. For instance, 'specious' is used instead of 'spacious', 'suspectors' is used instead of 'spectators', 'lightings' is incorrect, and 'inaugrution' and 'invitaion' contain spelling mistakes. Furthermore, phrases like 'presence in here would be grateful' show unnatural collocations. These errors do not completely impede communication, but to reach the next band you must demonstrate greater precision in word choice, correct spelling, and natural collocation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
Your writing shows a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating that you can construct multi-clause sentences such as 'If you would come here, it would impact people around the other cities, which will helpful to rise the popularity of our theatre.' There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'the lightings of the place is' and tense inconsistencies like 'which will helpful'. Prepositions and article usage also show occasional inaccuracies, such as 'invite you on the inaugurtion'. Nevertheless, these errors rarely impede communication. To improve your grammar score further, you need to produce a higher proportion of error-free sentences and ensure tighter control over complex grammatical structures and verb tenses.
