Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three requirements: it describes the theatre’s location, design and capacity, invites Vidushi to the opening, and explains that her work in the drama and movie industry makes her a suitable guest. The invitation is clear and the tone is appropriately warm. The details about the venue are useful, while the reason for choosing her is less fully developed: “you did a great work” is positive but general, and the planned performance of one of her dramas could be linked more explicitly to her contribution or popularity. The response already covers the task well; to make the ideas more fully developed, add a specific reason for her influence and clarify what role you would like her to play at the opening.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The information is arranged in a sensible sequence: introduction and invitation, theatre details, opening-day plans, and the reason for selecting the actor. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and the closing is suitable for a formal invitation. Some links between ideas are mechanical or unclear, however. “So there will be many people wanting to get a signature from you” follows the planned drama, but the connection between the performance and the expected audience response could be made more explicit. The paragraph beginning “When we considering people” also feels abrupt. Use clearer transitions and connect each supporting detail directly to the invitation or explanation of suitability.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses a relevant range of vocabulary for a formal invitation, including “architectural team,” “construct the theatre,” “opening,” and “main guest.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy and polish: “Entertaintment,” “wolud,” and “appricate” are misspelled, while “make to the opening” is not a natural expression. Some phrases are also broad, such as “a great work” and “very popular area.” More precise, natural collocations would strengthen the letter’s formal tone. Proofread spelling carefully and choose expressions such as “attend the opening” and “make a significant contribution” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes both simple sentences and attempts at more complex forms, such as “Since you did a great work in our drama and movie industry.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include “I am working for” where the present simple would suit a current role, “a architectural team,” “The theatre have,” and “When we considering people.” There are also errors in verb forms and sentence construction in “We also planing to show” and “if you can make to the opening.” Review articles, subject–verb agreement, and verb forms, and ensure dependent clauses are attached to complete sentences. Greater control of these patterns would make the invitation more fluent.
