Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You make a relevant attempt to cover the three requested points: you describe the theatre’s seating, lighting and music, invite the actor to participate, and explain that their talent and popularity could attract an audience. However, the invitation is not stated clearly as an invitation to officially open the theatre; “inviting on our new theatre scheme” leaves the purpose uncertain. The information about the venue is also brief, and the reason the actor is suitable relies mainly on general praise rather than specific links to their career or influence. The letter therefore addresses the task only partially, with ideas that remain limited and under-developed. State the opening event and invitation directly, then add a concrete detail about the theatre and a specific reason for choosing this actor.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The ideas are broadly relevant and appear in a recognisable order: you introduce your purpose, praise the actor, describe the theatre, and offer further information. However, the letter is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the invitation, venue details and explanation of suitability are not clearly separated. Connections between ideas are also sometimes awkward or repetitive: “Actually” and “This is because” do not create a smooth progression, while “People will often and visit your theater” is difficult to follow. Use short paragraphs for the purpose and invitation, the theatre and event, and your reasons for choosing the actor. Clearer linking and references would help the reader follow the message without having to infer how some points relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general topic, with relevant words such as “talent,” “entertainment,” “audience,” “lighting” and “schedule.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate enough to make parts of the letter unclear. For example, “new theatre scheme” does not naturally describe the venue or its opening, and “a lots lighting” is not an appropriate phrase. “Humor” and “entertainment” are repeated rather than replaced with more precise descriptions of the actor’s appeal. Spelling errors such as “comapny” and “thetre” also reduce accuracy. Build a small set of natural phrases for invitations, theatre facilities and audience appeal, and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and give reasons using structures such as “This is because you are very talented and can manage your task and schedule perfectly.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to read. The opening joins two independent clauses with only a comma: “I hope you are doing well, I am writing…”; “I want give” is missing “to,” and “Our company will so excited” is missing a verb. There are also problems with articles and number, as in “a lots lighting,” and the final sentence shifts awkwardly between “we” and “your answer.” Use shorter, complete sentences while practising infinitives, verb forms and article/plural patterns; then add a few accurate complex sentences.
