Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requirements: you describe the theatre as a new IMAX venue with modern equipment, invite Raj to the opening, and explain that his fame and recent hit film could attract visitors. The purpose is clear and the details are relevant. The explanation of why he is suitable, however, focuses mainly on the company’s publicity and revenue rather than his particular qualities or connection to the theatre; this makes that part less fully developed than the invitation and venue description. To strengthen the response, add a specific reason his career or contribution to cinema makes him an especially fitting person to perform the opening, and give a clearer event detail such as the time or what you would like him to do.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a clear overall sequence: it introduces the company and venue, makes the invitation, then explains the hoped-for benefit of Raj’s attendance. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and the closing is appropriate. Some links are less smooth or precise, particularly the long final paragraph beginning “As we are just opening the theatre,” where the purpose, the actor’s popularity, and the expected business benefit are crowded together. The repeated references to “the theatre” and “our company” also make the flow somewhat mechanical. Use clearer transitions between the invitation and its justification, and divide the final explanation into shorter, logically connected sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for a formal invitation, including “grand opening,” “fully equipped,” “latest display technology,” and “necessary arrangements.” These choices make the topic and purpose clear. However, several spelling and word-choice or collocation errors reduce precision: “inaugrate,” “awarness,” “desiring actor,” and “customers inflow” are not natural or accurate expressions in this context. “w audio systems” is also unclear to the reader. Aim for conventional, precise phrases such as “open,” “raise awareness,” “highly sought-after actor,” and “increase customer numbers.” Proofreading spelling and checking whether phrases sound natural would make your vocabulary more controlled and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response includes both straightforward sentences and some attempts at more complex structures, such as “After your recent hit movie, you have become…” and the clause explaining that the actor’s presence will attract viewers. Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical choices are inaccurate or awkward. For example, “planning to open … on Friday next week” would be clearer as “planning to open … next Friday,” and “which results on more revenue” has an incorrect grammatical pattern and tense. The final paragraph also joins several ideas into a long sentence, making the relationships harder to follow. Practise accurate clause construction and use shorter sentences when explaining cause and effect; check articles and prepositions as part of proofreading.
