Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requirements: you describe the theatre’s opening date and facilities, invite Vijay to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and explain that his down-to-earth image and upcoming film make him a suitable guest. The invitation is clear, including the time and date, and the mention of privacy and security is relevant. However, some details are less fully explained: for example, “14 theatre rooms for different sittings” is unclear, and the promotional benefit is mentioned without explaining how his presence would connect with the theatre’s launch. A more polished, appropriately formal invitation and fuller explanation of the theatre’s appeal would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the writer and theatre, gives information about the event, makes the invitation, and closes with a reason for choosing the actor. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “I invite you” make the purpose easy to follow. Some connections are less smooth or precise, however. The shift from theatre facilities to privacy and security is abrupt, and “So this can be better opportunity for your promotional tour also” does not clearly link the actor’s film release to the theatre event. Use clearer transitions and refer back to ideas explicitly so the progression feels more natural rather than relying on repeated invitation wording.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “3D,” “4DX,” “VIPs,” “security,” and “ribbon cutting ceremony,” so the reader can understand the main details. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “down to earth” and “promotional tour.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “different sittings,” “personal things,” “privacy and security thing,” and “newest thing in our city with modern era features.” Spelling errors such as “ribbion,” “Ocotober,” and “oppurtunity” also reduce accuracy. Choose more natural phrases, such as “screening rooms,” “private events,” and “state-of-the-art facilities,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The letter includes mostly straightforward sentence forms and some attempts to combine ideas, for example, “You are the best person for this occasion because you are down to earth and your new picture is also going to be released.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors make parts less clear. Examples include “There some features available for VIPs,” which needs a verb (“There are…”), and “We will keep for your privacy and security thing,” where the sentence structure is incomplete. There are also issues with articles and phrasing in “a better opportunity,” as well as missing spaces after full stops. Practise accurate sentence patterns and proofread punctuation while retaining a mix of simple and longer sentences.
