Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The letter covers all three required points: it gives the theatre’s location and expected opening time, invites Mr Khaan to attend, and explains his suitability by referring to his acting, charitable work, and influence on young people. The reasons are relevant, especially the claim that he encourages young people to avoid drugs and stay healthy. However, some details are less fully developed: the theatre itself is described only briefly, and the invitation is phrased as a request to provide available dates rather than as a clear invitation to a specific opening event. Add a little more information about the venue or event and state the invitation directly to make the purpose more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The information is arranged in a generally coherent order: the opening paragraph introduces the writer and invitation, the next explains admiration for the actor, and the final paragraph links his influence to the request. Paragraphing helps distinguish these purposes, and connectors such as “Therefore” show the relationship between the reason and conclusion. Some links are less smooth or clear, however. “Through book, I came to you you are…” repeats “you” and makes the transition difficult to follow, while “I hope you will come and meet soon” does not clearly refer back to the theatre opening. Use clearer referencing and connect each paragraph more directly to the invitation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response has enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas and makes some attempts at more specific language, including “struggle behind your success,” “charity,” and “free education.” The tone is respectful and appropriate for a formal invitation. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “with humble respect,” “opening of the new theatre,” and “right person to open the theatre.” Spelling errors including “threatre,” “childern,” and “youngesters” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural formal expressions such as “I am writing to invite you to the opening” and check spelling carefully; this would make the vocabulary more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There is some variety in sentence structure, including a relative clause in “a good person, who always donate…” and a reason introduced by “Therefore.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. For example, “My name is Deep Sidhu an i am working” has problems with sentence joining, capitalization, and verb form; “in which dates your are available” has an incorrect question structure; and “I came to you you are” lacks a grammatical link between clauses. There are also errors in articles and agreement, as in “for opening of the new theatre” and “who always donate.” Practise accurate clause linking and question forms while retaining the range of sentence patterns attempted.
