Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requirements: you describe the company’s theatre plans, invite the actor to the opening, and explain that their reputation and skills could attract the community. The invitation is clear in “I heartily inviting you,” and the reason that people would attend if they knew the actor was coming is relevant. However, the theatre information is less fully developed: the location and opening timing are mentioned, but there is little about the venue itself or the ceremony. The reasons for choosing this particular actor also rely mainly on general praise, such as “brand of entertainment.” Add a few concrete details about the theatre and explain more specifically how the actor’s work or connection with the community makes them suitable.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the company and theatre, makes the invitation, gives a reason, and closes politely. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and repeated use of “Sir” makes the letter feel mechanical. The opening combines several details in one long sequence, while “As we having many theatre houses throughout the country but we wanna open in lahore DHA” does not clearly connect the company’s existing venues to the new one. Use clearer paragraph focus and linking phrases, and make references explicit—for example, distinguish the company’s existing theatres from the new Lahore venue.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant language for a formal invitation, including “opening ceremony,” “professionalism,” and “positive response.” The reader can generally understand the intended message, but the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or too informal for a letter to a famous actor. “Brand of entertainment” is unclear in this context, while “cut the ropes” does not express the usual opening-ceremony action. “Wanna” is conversational, and spelling errors such as “comapny” and “thankfull” are noticeable. Choose precise, conventional expressions and check spelling; for instance, refer to the actor’s “reputation” and invite them to “officially open” the theatre.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The letter attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, and its main purpose remains understandable. However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent. Examples include “As we having many theatre houses,” which lacks a finite verb, and “I heartily inviting you,” which needs a correctly formed verb phrase. In “if they gets aware,” the verb does not agree with its subject, and “you are the person who really deserve” also has an agreement error. Some sentence boundaries and punctuation are unclear, particularly where “Sir” and “As” begin new thoughts. Practise complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, and accurate present-tense forms, then separate each main idea into a clear sentence.
