Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requirements: you describe the theatre’s upgraded lighting and sound, invite Mr Khan to the opening, and explain that his recent film makes him a suitable guest. The invitation is clear, and the film-promotion idea gives a relevant reason for choosing him. However, some details are less fully developed: “next week” is vague, and the theatre description would be more informative with its capacity, style, or opening date. The request to prepare a speech is also presented as an instruction rather than a courteous invitation. Develop these points and make the proposed role and event arrangements clearer to make the letter more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter follows a sensible sequence: invitation and venue, theatre improvements, the requested role, and the reason for selecting the actor. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points, and phrases such as “The reason why” make the purpose of the final explanation clear. This gives the response a coherent overall arrangement. To make the progression more polished, connect the theatre details more smoothly to the opening invitation and avoid abrupt shifts, particularly from asking the actor to attend to telling him to prepare a speech. A more conventional closing transition before “I look forward to…” would also help the ending feel fully integrated.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a formal invitation, including “grand opening,” “opening ceremony,” “advanced lighting and sound system,” and “promoted.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and the reference to advertising film posters is specific to the actor. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, however: “my team will have a big influence of you” does not express the intended meaning clearly, and “on this event” is not a natural collocation. There are also spelling errors in “intersaction” and “theate.” Use more precise phrases for the actor’s contribution and check spelling and collocations to improve clarity and control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The letter includes both simple statements and more complex forms, such as “The reason why I consider you to be perfect person… is because…” and the relative clause “which can also get promoted…”. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “The theatre located” needs a finite verb, “if you will join” should use a more suitable conditional form, and “I look forward to hearding” requires a gerund after “look forward to.” Articles are also missing in “a perfect person” and “a more advanced lighting and sound system.” Review verb patterns, articles, and sentence punctuation while retaining your attempts at varied structures.
