Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you describe the theatre, invite the actor to open it, and explain that their popularity could attract an audience. The invitation is clear, and the letter has an appropriate polite closing. However, some details are under-developed or unclear. For example, “professional actors and co-actors” and “modern instruments related to sound system” do not explain the theatre’s distinctive features very precisely. The reason for choosing this actor is relevant, but it focuses mainly on publicity; adding a specific connection between the actor’s career or reputation and the theatre would make the explanation more convincing. Overall, the task is covered, though the information and supporting ideas are not equally developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the purpose, gives information about the venue, makes the invitation, explains the choice of guest, and closes politely. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points, and connectors such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” signal progression. At times, however, linking feels mechanical, and some connections between ideas are unclear. For instance, the theatre being “nearby your house” is added as a reason to attend, but its relevance to the formal invitation is not fully explained. The sequence would feel more natural if each paragraph developed one main point and transitions were used more selectively. Clearer references and smoother links would strengthen the progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of task-related vocabulary, including “opening ceremony,” “coordinator,” “popular actor,” and “warm invitation,” so the purpose is generally easy to understand. There are also attempts at more formal or less common wording, such as “crucial information” and “attract larger public.” Some choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, however: “open this new cinema” does not match the repeated description of a theatre, and “make theatre funny performance” is difficult to interpret. “Modern instruments related to sound system” is also imprecise. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main message, but more natural, precise phrases would improve control and suitability for a formal invitation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because you are a popular actor” and a conditional sentence beginning “If you will come.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the letter. Examples include “I want to highlights,” “It is consists,” and “public have admired you,” where verb forms or agreement are not controlled. The conditional “If you will come” also needs a more suitable tense pattern, and “it would be going to easy” combines structures incorrectly. Articles and sentence punctuation also need attention. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and conditional patterns while retaining your attempts at varied sentences.
