Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the three main points: you describe Star Cineplex as a large cinema chain, give the opening date and location, invite the actor to perform the ceremony, and explain his popularity with local fans. These details make the purpose clear. However, the theatre itself is described only briefly, and the reason he would be a suitable opener is mostly general praise: calling him “the most famous actor in India” and “King in cinema sector” does not fully explain the connection between his qualities and the event. The invitation also lacks practical details, such as the ceremony time or how to respond. Develop these points and make the request more specific to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter follows a broadly sensible order: an introduction, information about the theatre, the invitation, and a reason for choosing the actor. This helps the reader understand the purpose. However, the ideas are presented in separate, short blocks without a clear closing progression, and some links are awkward or unclear. For example, “No we are going to open a new theatre” does not smoothly connect the company background to the announcement, while “however” at the start of the final paragraph does not express a contrast with the preceding invitation. Use clearer paragraphing and transitions, and finish with a direct request for a reply and a polite sign-off. This would make the organisation more consistent and the relationships between ideas easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the purpose, including “opening ceremony,” “die hard fan,” and “Managing Director,” and the reader can generally understand the message. There is some attempt to use expressive language to show the actor’s popularity. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “Whishing,” “thetre,” “come this days,” and “King in cinema sector.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear or reduce the letter’s professional tone. Choose more conventional formal expressions and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe him as a “highly respected actor” and refer to “many devoted fans” rather than relying on informal or awkward phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response communicates its main message through mostly simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to combine ideas, such as “We love to invite you to come this days at our new theatre and will do the opening ceremony.” However, these longer constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “Whishing you are doing well,” “one of the biggest cinema theatre,” “you will be come,” and the run-on opening “I am Robiul (Managing Director)Star Cineplex.” These patterns can make the reader pause to interpret the message. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer ones with correct verb forms and punctuation; for instance, “We would be delighted if you could attend and open the theatre.”
