Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you describe the theatre and its facilities, invite the actor to the opening, and explain the connection to the local community. The details about four halls and the actor’s time in the city make the invitation relevant. However, some parts are less fully developed: the invitation does not specify a date or ask for a response, and the reason the actor would be a suitable opener is expressed mainly as a general claim about being a role model. The response is also four words below the required minimum, so add a little more relevant detail, such as the event date or what you hope the actor will do at the ceremony. The main purpose remains clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with the purpose, gives information about the theatre, and then explains why the actor is being invited. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and links such as “That is why” make the relationship between the actor’s local connection and the invitation understandable. Some cohesion is less natural or precise, however. The final sentence repeats the request to attend without adding practical information, and “This recently build theater” begins a paragraph with a reference that could be more smoothly connected to the opening. A clearer closing paragraph with the event details and a polite request for confirmation would strengthen progression and make the letter feel more complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for the purpose, including topic-related terms such as “capacity,” “picture and sound quality,” and “role model.” There are also attempts at more formal or less common wording, including “inaguration” and “auspitious,” but spelling errors and some unnatural combinations reduce precision. Phrases such as “invite you on the inaguration” and “distinct simulations” do not express the intended meaning naturally; “invite you to the inauguration” and “special effects” would be clearer. “Theater” is understandable, though consistent spelling and naming would help polish the letter. To improve, prioritise accurate collocations and spell-check less familiar vocabulary rather than choosing elaborate terms that may not fit.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The response includes both simple sentences and longer structures, for example the sentence explaining that the actor is a role model because of their connection to the city. Meaning is generally clear, and the longer sentence shows an attempt to combine ideas. Some grammatical errors remain, though they rarely prevent understanding. In “This recently build theater,” the participle should be “built”; “in each hall different movies will be screeing” needs a clearer construction, such as “different films will be screened in each hall”; and “as you spent almost two decades” would be more naturally framed as “because you spent…”. Check articles and prepositions in the opening invitation as well. More consistently accurate verb forms and sentence patterns would improve control.
