Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three requirements: it describes the theatre’s stage, sound and lighting, and seating; gives an opening date and time; and explains that the actor’s connection with fans makes her a suitable guest. The invitation is clear and the tone is generally courteous. The reason for choosing the actor is relevant, but it is asserted rather than developed: explain more specifically how her career or public reputation would attract audiences or represent the company. The theatre description is also brief, and the request to open it could be stated more directly. These details mean the task is covered, though some parts are fuller and clearer than others; adding specific supporting information would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible overall sequence: invitation and venue details, event arrangements, reasons for the choice, and a closing request. Paragraphing helps distinguish these functions, and expressions such as “Apart from these” and “That is the reason” guide the reader through the points. However, some links are awkward or unclear. “I would be a great owner if you could manage some time” does not clearly express the intended request, and “Your presence not only make this event more memorable but people would be more surprised” joins ideas in an uneven structure. The final pickup offer and request for availability are relevant but could connect more smoothly to the invitation. Clearer transitions and more precise referencing would improve the progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses a relevant range of vocabulary for a formal invitation, including “sound and light effects,” “opening ceremony,” “down-to-earth,” and “availability.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy and sometimes make the message less natural: “facalities,” “buzy,” “presensce,” and “surpsied.” Some collocations are also awkward, such as “setting arrangement” and “fame in cinema world.” Aim for accurate, conventional phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, describe the theatre’s “seating for 250 people” and refer to the actor’s “reputation in the film industry.” More precise vocabulary would make the letter sound more polished while retaining its courteous tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, such as “Apart from these facilities, it also has…” and the sentence explaining why the actor was selected. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. In “I would be a great owner if you could manage some time,” the conditional does not express the intended meaning; “I would be grateful if you could make time” is more suitable. There are also agreement and verb-form problems in “Your presence not only make” and “my company prefer,” as well as missing articles in phrases such as “for an opening day.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and parallel structures, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries.
