Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You make a relevant attempt to invite the actor and describe the theatre, mentioning flexible seats, a large stage, speakers and lighting. You also begin to explain why the actor is suitable by referring to their life and its potential to motivate others. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the invitation is not fully developed, and the reason for choosing this person is left incomplete. The final phrase, “to do n,” makes the explanation difficult to understand. The letter also contains 114 words, below the required 150, so there is not enough space to develop all three points. Add practical details about the opening and explain more specifically how the actor’s achievements connect with the theatre’s aims.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The ideas are arranged in a generally understandable order: you introduce the theatre, make the invitation, and then start giving a reason for selecting the actor. Separate paragraphs help distinguish these points. However, the progression is limited because the letter ends abruptly during the final idea, and the relationship between some details is not always clear. For example, “It will give you a real experience of play” does not clearly connect the theatre’s features to the invitation. The opening and closing are also incomplete as a formal letter. To improve, use a clear paragraph for each task point, connect details with precise linking phrases, and finish with a complete explanation and an appropriate sign-off.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “theatre,” “stage,” “dramas,” “speakers,” and “lights,” and you attempt more descriptive language such as “modern flexible seats.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear. “Innogration event” appears to be an attempt at “inauguration ceremony,” while “chief guest” and “real experience of play” do not sound natural in this context. The unfinished phrase “to do n” also prevents the intended meaning from being conveyed. Aim for precise, natural expressions for a formal invitation, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the clause beginning “which is not only equipped…” and the conditional invitation “I would be please if you would pay a visit.” However, errors are frequent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I would be please” needs an adjective form, and “Our whole team has been prepared a play” has an incorrect verb construction. The opening sentence also combines several ideas in a way that makes the relationship between them unclear. The final sentence is incomplete, so its grammar cannot be fully understood. Practise accurate verb patterns, adjective forms, and complete sentence construction, then proofread punctuation and sentence endings.
