Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you describe the theatre as a new, spacious venue in central New Delhi, invite the actor to its opening, and explain that their acting and social work make them popular with the public. The invitation is clear, and the letter has an appropriate opening and closing. However, some details are less fully developed: the facilities and “latest instruments” are not specified, and the reason the actor is especially suited to inaugurate the venue could be linked more directly to their career or contribution to theatre. The mention of showing the actor’s latest film is relevant, but its connection to opening the theatre could be explained more clearly. More specific supporting details would make the purpose and appeal of the invitation stronger.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the writer and venue, gives information about the theatre, then makes the case for the actor and closes politely. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “Furthermore” make the progression easy to follow. At times, however, these transitions feel mechanical, and several ideas are crowded into long paragraphs. The sentence about showing the actor’s film runs directly into “famous actor,” making the relationship between the ideas unclear. Use paragraphing to separate the invitation and its supporting reasons, and connect ideas through clearer references rather than relying mainly on formal linkers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “grand opening,” “spacious,” “city centre,” and “consideration.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “social work” and “acting skills.” However, several word choices and collocations are noticeably unnatural or imprecise: “latest instruments” does not clearly describe theatre facilities, “people are very huge fan” is not idiomatic, and “watching tickets” is unclear. “Your latest film on its release” also needs a more natural expression. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the invitation, but they limit precision and fluency. Aim to learn common collocations for venues, audiences, and formal invitations, and check that each phrase conveys the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “which” and “to get more audience,” and the overall message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors are present, however. For example, “i am working” needs a capital “I” and a more suitable verb form in this context; “more spacious than old one” is missing an article; and “people are very huge fan” has an agreement and number problem. Punctuation also needs attention: there is no space after several full stops, and “famous actorWe” runs two sentences together. The closing “Your's” also has incorrect apostrophe use. Review articles, singular/plural agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries to improve accuracy while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
