It would like to invite you for the grand opening ceremony and I would be grateful if you could become a special guest for the opening. I already mention all details in the invetation card, but if you have any questions you can contact us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requirements: you describe the Mumbai theatre, invite Mr Smith to the opening, and explain why his presence would suit the event. Details such as “seven screen” and “all other facilities under one roof” give the reader a basic picture, while calling him respected and famous provides a relevant reason for the invitation. The invitation itself is clear, though the request to “become a special guest” could state more directly that you would like him to perform the opening ceremony. The explanation of his suitability is less developed: being a fan and his fame are mentioned, but a specific connection between his career and the theatre or its audience would make the case more persuasive. The main points are covered, but not all are equally extended.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible sequence: it opens with the purpose, gives information about the theatre, makes the invitation, explains the choice of guest, and closes politely. Paragraphing helps distinguish these functions, and phrases such as “I am writing to invite you” and “because” make the relationships between ideas clear. Some links are less smooth, however. “I already mention all details in the invitation card” interrupts the invitation rather than adding useful information, and the shift from describing the venue to discussing your personal admiration could be connected more naturally. Overall, the organisation is coherent, but some cohesion feels mechanical or unclear. A more direct progression within each paragraph and clearer references to the opening event would strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the purpose and basic details, including “grand opening,” “special guest,” and “respected.” However, several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the letter less natural and occasionally obscure your meaning. “More capturable” does not express the intended idea; “more memorable” would fit. “Cimana” and “metter” are misspelled, and “invetation” is also inaccurate. Phrases such as “finished with all other matters” and “one of the largest theatre” show limited control of natural expressions and forms. The range is adequate for a simple invitation, but greater accuracy and more precise event-related vocabulary are needed for a stronger impression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, such as “I believe this theatre will be…” and the reason introduced by “because.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “I had been planning for this projects from last two years” has problems with tense, number, and the time expression; “seven screen” also needs a plural noun. “It would like to invite you” is missing the subject “we,” while “I personally, a big fan” needs a verb. These errors show that more complex ideas are being attempted, but control is not yet consistent. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, articles, plurals, and time expressions, then check each sentence for a complete clause.
