Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you describe the theatre’s “3D screen and foldable seats,” invite the actor as a “special guest,” and explain that staff admire his achievements and films. The purpose is clear and the details are relevant. The explanation of why he is especially suitable is less fully developed, however: the reference to his upcoming film is difficult to connect to the opening, and the letter does not give practical details such as the date or what you would like him to do at the ceremony. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how his career or popularity would make the opening memorable and include clear event arrangements. The content is purposeful, but some ideas need fuller support and clarification.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible overall order: it introduces the invitation, describes the theatre, gives the reason for inviting the actor, and closes with a request for a reply. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “Additionally” and “The main reason” signal how ideas relate. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, particularly the shift from the actor’s films to the claim that his upcoming movie “will release on that day.” The opening and closing could also be more conventionally connected to the purpose of a formal invitation. Use clearer transitions to show how each reason supports the invitation, and group the event details and the actor’s suitability more deliberately. Overall, the organisation is coherent, though cohesion is not consistently smooth.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of task-relevant vocabulary, including “special guest,” “celebration,” “achievement,” and “foldable seats,” so the reader can understand the main message. There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems that reduce precision, such as “caremony,” “innogration,” and “entertaining theatre.” Some expressions are awkward or imprecise, including “large numbers of talents” and “hard work you paid off.” These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the invitation, but they make parts of the letter less natural. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for formal invitations and entertainment venues. More accurate phrases such as “opening ceremony” and “a wide range of talent” would make the message clearer and more professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including the sentence beginning “As, we will arrange…” and the explanation introduced by “The main reason to invite you is that…”. The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “theatre which have” needs subject–verb agreement, while “Everyone know” should use a singular verb. The sentence about the upcoming film also has an unclear clause structure, and punctuation after “As” disrupts the sentence. Aim for accurate agreement and build complex sentences with a clear main clause; for instance, state directly that the ceremony will coincide with the film’s release, if that is what you mean. Greater control of these forms would make the letter easier to read.
