Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three requirements: it gives details about the theatre, invites the actor to open it, and explains why the actor is suitable. The location near the town hall and the food court, children’s activities, and photo booth provide relevant information. The invitation is also clear in “I want to invite you sir.” However, the explanation of the actor’s suitability is less fully developed: calling him “star and god for many people” does not explain specifically how his reputation or career connects to the theatre or its audience. The opening event itself could also be described more clearly, such as by giving a date or explaining what the actor would do. Develop these points to make the purpose more persuasive and complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The message has a recognisable letter structure, moving from its purpose to information about the theatre and then to the personal request. Paragraphing helps separate these functions, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “In addition to this” signal progression. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical, however. For example, “So, i sent u this invitation from our new business” repeats the invitation rather than advancing the message, and the relationship between the theatre details and the request could be made more direct. The final paragraph combines the actor’s suitability, the audience’s enjoyment, and gratitude in a crowded sequence. Use clearer links between ideas and a distinct closing paragraph to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses enough vocabulary to communicate the main purpose and describe the venue, including “food court,” “fun activities,” and “memorable moment.” It also attempts more formal expressions such as “personally request” and “with your grace.” However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unsuitable for a formal invitation: “cut the ribbin,” “open for public,” and “star and god for many people.” Spelling errors such as “innaugration,” “ribbin,” and “greatfull,” along with informal “u,” reduce control. Choose conventional expressions for an invitation and check spelling carefully. A more precise description of the actor’s public reputation would also make the language more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The letter includes both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, for example, “There are big food court, fun activities for children and photobooth and many more things available.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. In that sentence, the list needs consistent plural forms and articles; “I am working … since 2019” also uses an unsuitable tense pattern for an action continuing from the past. Capitalisation is inconsistent in “Now i want,” and the closing “Your faithfully” has an agreement error. The sentence beginning “In addition to this” joins several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise present perfect forms with “since,” article use, and sentence punctuation while retaining the longer structures you are attempting.
