Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question by describing benefits such as improved appearance and confidence, and drawbacks including cost, stress, and possible side effects. Your final view—that people should prefer natural products and face yoga—also gives the response a position. However, the position is not fully clear until late in the essay, and the discussion does not consistently answer whether the trend is good or bad overall. Several points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that looking younger helps actresses get better movie roles needs a clearer link or support, while the surgery example is difficult to understand. State your overall judgement in the introduction and develop fewer examples more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs presenting benefits and disadvantages, a personal view, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “On otherside,” and “To sumup” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, some links are mechanical or unclear, and ideas within paragraphs do not always progress smoothly. For instance, “However, help to get better movies” is not clearly connected to the preceding sentence, and the final paragraph repeats the cost and skin-effect points without bringing the argument together. Use clearer sentence-to-sentence links and organise each body paragraph around one main idea, followed by an explanation or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “botox treatment,” “wrinkles,” “anti-aging,” “self-esteem,” and “side effect.” These terms show an attempt to discuss appearance and the consequences of cosmetic treatments. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spellings make parts difficult to understand, such as “huge impact on finanical condition,” “lead dead of her,” and “products and treatments can effective.” Repeated use of “look young” and “products” also limits precision. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for benefits, costs, and risks, and check spelling and word forms so your meaning is consistently clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences using connectors such as “as,” “which,” and “whereas,” but control is uneven. Errors in sentence structure and agreement appear in examples such as “many actress take botox treatment,” “these products and treatments are very expensive and doesn't fit,” and “products and treatments can effective.” Some sentences are incomplete or difficult to parse, including “However, help to get better movies.” Punctuation also needs attention: several sentences run together after full stops, and commas are missing or misplaced. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and verb forms before submitting.
